Alliant 300-MP is excellent for 357 Magnum, 125 gn JSP shot from a lever gun or heavy revolver.
Col G Gerlach PhD USMC –
An extremely good, high energy powder very closely similar, if not the same as, H110/Win296. Useful for maximum or very near maximum loads, but only with Magnum primers. Do NOT attempt to use any non-Magnum primers.
FRANK –
magnum primers are not recommended for 300 MP
