Medium Experienced target shooter & re-loader.
Working on the 300 yard targets.
Had ALWAYS been a Crimp Person.
But … Match Shooters do not Crimp – there must be a reason.
I’m not a match shooter, but I think they don’t crimp because un-crimped they get more consistent results,
tighter clusters.
That’s the way it worked out on my first Go with un-crimped bullets.
The Lapua 170 FMJ stood out. Went from 5 inch diameter un-crimped,
to 4 inch diameter cluster un-crimped, shooting 4 bullets each time.

I know there’s other people here that shoot 1 inch clusters at 300 yards,
so I guess I won’t be gold plating the targets or anything.
But still it is interesting that the Lapua 170 FMJ stood out.
Was comparing it with the Barnes 165 & 180 TSX, which also work great.
